Since its establishment in 2005, Global Tax Free Korea has provided tax refund services for international visitors. It is positioned as a pioneering company that first introduced tax refund services for foreign visitors in Korea.

Electronic refunds were introduced in 2011 and downtown refund counters in 2013. With refund counters at major department stores including Lotte, Shinsegae and Galleria, a broad merchant base covering major department stores and brands, and diverse refund channels, it has helped lead Korea’s tax refund market.

Drawing on operational expertise, traveler touchpoints and purchasing data accumulated over many years, it is working to expand its business beyond Korea into global markets, including Japan.
